FY26 Sustainability Report
Preparing people to win in an AI-native world
OLX Group has published its FY26 Sustainability Report, setting out how our approach to sustainability is evolving alongside our transformation into an AI-native organisation.
Environmental: keeping more in circulation
Circularity is already built into the way our marketplaces work.
Our marketplaces enable people to buy and sell second-hand products. Buying second-hand can help keep products in use for longer, although the environmental impact varies depending on the product.
In FY26, 5.9 million second-hand items were transacted through OLX platforms. Users saved an estimated €350 million by choosing second-hand electronics instead of buying new, while those choices helped avoid around 1.93 million tonnes of CO₂e emissions.
Technology can make those choices easier too. Across our marketplaces, AI is helping reduce some of the friction involved in buying and selling second-hand. Tools such as smarter listing creation, pricing support and natural language search can make it quicker and simpler to keep products in circulation.
Our environmental responsibility also includes our own operations. In FY26, total emissions fell by 6%, while emissions per employee decreased by 11%. The share of renewable electricity also increased from 16% to 20%.
Social: creating more opportunities
Our social impact starts with the role our marketplaces play in connecting people with opportunities.
For professional customers, that can mean helping a dealer find the right buyer, an employer reach the right candidate, or a real estate professional connect with someone looking for their next home.
Technology increasingly supports those connections, but our role goes beyond the platform itself.
Across our markets, we continue to invest in local communities, education and access to opportunity. In South Africa, around €6.8 million was reinvested in areas including digital education, youth employability and support for small businesses.
In Poland, our checkout donation feature helped raise $250,000 for humanitarian causes, while other initiatives across Romania, Poland and Ukraine supported education, resilience and people facing difficult circumstances.
Inside OLX, we are also preparing our own people for a changing world of work. Our teams are being supported with learning programmes, AI masterclasses and coaching designed to help them not only use AI, but understand it, question it and apply it responsibly.
Governance: building trust as AI scales
As AI becomes more embedded in our products and operations, trust becomes even more important. Our governance approach focuses on safety, fairness and transparency, helping ensure that intelligent systems are developed and deployed responsibly.
This matters particularly in areas such as jobs and housing, where technology can influence access to opportunities that have a real impact on people’s lives.
Privacy and security are part of that same responsibility. Our approach is based on Privacy by Design, with protection built into products rather than added later. In FY26, we increased security event coverage tenfold, reduced phishing susceptibility among our teams by 90%, and improved incident response speed by 30%.
For us, becoming AI-native is not only about what technology can do. It is also about how responsibly it is built, how people benefit from it and how trust grows alongside it.
